PUTNEY TREE SERVICE

About PUTNEY TREE SERVICE

The St. Lawrence is wide at Waddington, and a freighter slides past the far side of Ogden Island while the shore trees do what they can against a river wind. PUTNEY TREE SERVICE keeps those big riverside maples and willows honest — heading back the overreach, removing the dead ones over lawns that run right down to the seawall. Summer evenings up here are long enough to finish a job in good light; winter is when a gale comes straight off the ice and leaves the cleanup stacked across the driveway. Pruning near the water is careful business, since every branch taken changes what the wind gets to push next. Done right, the shade stays, the sightline to the channel opens, and the yard is clean by supper.
