About Maintenance Man Landscaping

Winter arrives in Vernon on a flat wind that comes down over the harness track and finds every open driveway in town. Maintenance Man Landscaping meets it with plowing, walkway shoveling and salting, working the dark hours so a car can back out at seven without a second thought. Come May the same properties want mowing, edging and trimming, and the year turns over without anybody having to make a phone call. There is a quiet pride in a lot cleared to the pavement and, months later, in a lawn cut so evenly the lines hold their shape until the next pass. Two seasons, one set of hands, the same address on the list.
