Varick sits on the ridge with Seneca Lake on one hand and Cayuga on the other, and the wind crosses it all day long, carrying weather from lake to lake. Lawns up here are wide and open, exposed to that wind, greening early and drying fast. Rhinehart Landscaping mows them on the week, cuts the edges along gravel drives, and trims around the posts and fence lines that farm country leaves behind. Late in the season the vineyard rows to the west go copper and the fields go to stubble, and a lawn kept short and clean stands out as something looked after. It is straightforward work with a visible result, which is reason enough.
