Shrub Art

About Shrub Art

By mid-October the older streets above Chancellor Park turn gold, and the shape of a yard finally shows — the bones of it, the hedges and evergreens that carry a property once the flowers are gone. Shrub Art works that structure across Utica, trimming and shaping shrubs, cutting hedges square, keeping foundation plantings off the siding and clear of the windows. Mowing, edging and seasonal cleanups round out the care. A shrub cut well in autumn holds its line all winter under the snow. There is real craft in it, and it stands there for months where everyone can see.
