On a summer morning the Hudson lies under fog below the Kingston–Rhinecliff Bridge, and the light does not really land in the Town of Ulster until the river decides to let it. Atkinson Landscaping is out by then, mowing, trimming and keeping properties even from the riverside roads back toward East Kingston. River air keeps everything growing, and a lawn near the water goes shaggy in a hurry without regular attention. The reward is simple and visible from the street: a level cut, a defined edge, a yard that reads as looked after. Cleanups in spring and autumn bookend the whole of it.
