About Lawn Escapes - Landscaping, Construction & Estate Management

Tappan sits low and old against the Hudson's widest reach, where stone houses hold the corners and Sparkill Creek slips south toward the Palisades. Lawn Escapes - Landscaping, Construction & Estate Management keeps the grass on these blocks through the long green light of a Rockland summer — mowed even, edged clean, the margins of a yard as crisp as a folded page. Weather arrives here off the ridge in a hurry, and by January it is wind first, then snow, then a whole hamlet of driveways waiting in the dark. That is the unseen half of the work: the plow out before the parkway fills, walks cut down to bare pavement, the mailbox reachable by breakfast. April turns it around again along the old lanes, first cut of the year, the smell of it carrying down the street. Same yards, same corners — Tappan and the towns just over the line.
