About Salt City Turf & Snow LLC

Healthy turf is mostly what you can't see: root depth, soil that drains, a blade cut high enough to shade its own crown through a dry August. Salt City Turf & Snow LLC works from that end of it, up on Onondaga Hill, mowing and trimming on a schedule the grass can actually make use of. Then the year flips and those same properties need plowing and shoveling, sometimes for five straight months. Central New York gives a lawn ten weeks of heat and twenty of frozen ground — a lot to ask of a plant — which is why the summer care is what carries a yard through the winter. Watch a well-kept lawn come back green in April and you can read the entire previous year in it.
