The Real M'Coye Lawn & Pest

About The Real M'Coye Lawn & Pest

Late June in the Westcott streets is all deep shade and porch rails, and the grass under those old maples grows in fits — thin where the canopy is heavy, thick and green wherever the light gets through. The Real M'Coye Lawn & Pest mows to suit it, letting the height ride a little higher under the trees and cutting crisp along the walks and stone curbs. By the time the rose garden up in Thornden Park is in full color, the lawns on the blocks below it are holding their own. Syracuse summers come humid and generous with rain, which means a yard can get away from you inside a week, and the answer is simply arriving on schedule. The satisfying part is the last pass, when the edging is done and the clippings are blown off the sidewalk and the whole yard finally reads as one clean shape.
