Meney & Company

About Meney & Company

The canal still runs through the middle of things here, and on an August evening the lift bridge in Brockport rises, traffic waits, and a boat slides past at walking pace. Meney & Company keeps a comparable tempo — mowing, edging, trimming, the seasonal cleanups — unhurried but never late. Lawns around Sweden grow hard through June and then sulk in the July heat, so the work is as much about reading the grass as running the machine. Cut at the right height and edged tight along the walk, a lawn stays green well past the point where towpath dust turns pale. The company works Sweden, Brockport, Clarkson and out toward Sweden Center.
