Around Willowbrook the year turns twice in a hurry. October drops enough leaf onto New Springville's wide lawns to bury a walkway by Sunday, and by January the same open ground is catching every flake the sky sends. K & J Landscaping Corp works both ends of it: mowing, edging and trimming while the grass is running, full cleanups when the maples give up, then plows and salt once the lots and driveways go white. The park's paths and the streets around it look their best when somebody has just been through. Cut grass in June, bare pavement in February — the same instinct, different machine.
