About A & J Landscaping of SI Inc

June evenings in New Dorp stretch out long and gold, the light coming sideways down Hylan Boulevard and catching every blade that was cut that afternoon. A & J Landscaping of SI Inc spends those days on lawn care — mowing, edging, hedge and shrub trimming, mulching, and the cleanups that bookend the growing season. A lawn that has been kept looks different at that hour; it holds the light evenly instead of in patches. The crew works the blocks between the boulevard and the beach, where the soil runs sandy and the grass needs a steadier hand. It is honest work, and it reads from the sidewalk.
