Hemlock Lake ends in a quiet marsh at the top of Springwater, hemmed by watershed woods nobody ever built on, and the valley floor keeps its fog most mornings. Britton Tree, LLC works the yards along that bottomland and up the first pitch of the hills — mowing, trimming the fence lines, shaping hedges and shrubs, clearing beds and carrying off brush. Grass grows heavy down there, where cold air pools and the dew hangs on past breakfast. The result reads from the road: a mowed lawn with a clean border, and the woods left to be woods behind it.
