About Long Meadow Property Management

Springfield sits at the head of Otsego Lake, where the hills come down in long hayfields and the water throws fog up the valley on cool mornings. Long Meadow Property Management keeps grounds in that country — mowing lawns and open ground on a regular turn, trimming around posts, stone walls and outbuildings, edging drives and walks, and clearing leaves and downed limbs in spring and fall. Properties out here run big and irregular, with orchard grass at the margins and old maples that shed for a month straight, so the work is as much about keeping a whole place legible as about the lawn itself. The season is short and emphatic: everything grows at once in June, then the light tilts and the fields go gold above Glimmerglass. A mowed line held true against a hayfield edge is a satisfying thing to leave behind at the end of a day.
