About Ray Smith & Associates, Inc.

Southampton Village keeps its privacy behind privet, and the streets off Main run green and shaded the whole summer through. Ray Smith & Associates, Inc. tends the lawns inside those hedges — mowing, edging and trimming on a rhythm the neighborhood barely registers, which is precisely the point. Evening is the finest hour for it, when the heat lets go, a mower shuts off somewhere down the block, and fresh-cut turf holds the last of the light. The satisfaction sits in the finish: a crisp edge along the walk and nothing left on the pavement. Southampton, Water Mill, North Sea and Tuckahoe.
