From the ocean blocks near Coopers Beach the wind comes straight up the lanes, and it shapes both halves of the year. In summer Oceanview Landscapes keeps the turf mowed, trimmed and edged against that steady sea breeze; in January it is out at four in the morning with a plow, opening driveways and walks before anyone has to think about them. Nor'easters arrive sideways here and leave the drifts piled wherever a hedge breaks the wind — you learn the same corners twice, once with a mower and once with a blade.
