About Nugent Lawn Care LLC

Sloatsburg sits in a notch of the Ramapos with the river running through the middle of it and state forest standing right at the back fence, which makes the lawns here small clearings in a whole lot of mountain. Nugent Lawn Care LLC keeps them that way — mowing, trimming and cleanups on ground that is half sun and half hemlock shadow, with rock and root never far beneath the blade. Grass along the Ramapo comes in thick through a wet June and thins fast where the ridge throws shade by four in the afternoon, so the cut has to answer the yard it is standing in. The satisfying part is the look of a mowed lawn set against all that wooded green behind it, a clean shape held against the hillside. Lawn care in Sloatsburg and the villages along Route 17.
