April in Shawangunk is a mess in the best possible way — meltwater running the ditches, maples budding red over the crossroads, every lawn buried under a winter's worth of debris. Steven's Landscaping shows up for that turn with cleanups first, then mowing, trimming and edging as the ground firms and the season gets going. By December it is the other job: plowing driveways, shoveling walks, salting where the shade holds ice into afternoon. Handing a yard back to somebody in spring, open and clean again, is a fine way to spend a week. The town gets both halves of the year, and both halves get the same attention.
