About Newkirk Lawn & Landscape

Late August in the Wallkill valley smells like cut hay and warm corn leaves, and the heat sits down on the fields until well past supper. Newkirk Lawn & Landscape mows straight through it, cutting, trimming, edging and cleaning up properties all along the Route 208 valley. Grass grown in an August like that needs a rhythm rather than a whim, and the difference is visible from the mailbox. When the fields go brown and the first storms come over the ridge, the work becomes plowing and shoveling and salting drives and walks. Two seasons, one property, kept the same way.
