The first warm week of April comes up off the north end of Cayuga Lake and the valley goes from brown to green in a matter of days. SG Mowing meets it head-on with the season's opening cut, then trimming, edging and steady mowing through Seneca Falls and out along the Route 5 and 20 corridor. When the year turns the other way, the same trucks plow and shovel driveways and walks. There is something to that first pass of spring — the machine loud, the smell enormous, the yard suddenly looking like somebody lives there. That, in the end, is the whole point of the job.
