About Mountain Excavating LLC

By January the lake has gone hard and white, and the wind coming off it carries the length of the valley between Pharaoh Mountain and the Northway. Mountain Excavating LLC plows through those nights, opening camp roads, driveways and lots that begin filling again before the storm has finished. Sand and salt go on the steep pitches where a hill and a curve meet and nothing else will do. A drive opened wide with the shoulders cleared is what lets a morning in Schroon Lake proceed as planned. The work covers Schroon Lake, Chestertown, Pottersville, North Hudson and the roads toward Ticonderoga.
