Late August in South Schodack is a noisy season — grasshoppers ticking up out of the field edge, corn going papery, and grass that finally slows down enough to catch. Handy Grasshopper mows, trims and edges yards through that heat and the softer weeks on either side of it. The work is close-in and particular: around mailbox posts, fence lines, the odd corner a big deck leaves behind. Cleanups in spring and fall bracket the season, taking the year's litter off the turf. Nothing fancy about it, just a lawn that looks looked-after every week it is cut.
