About Vito's Lawn Care LLC

Morning comes off the Mohawk in a low sheet of river fog, and by the time it lifts from the Stockade's brick and clapboard, Vito's Lawn Care LLC is already out in the Schenectady grass. This is lawn care shaped by a city of long side yards and tall old maples — mowing in clean overlapping passes, edging that leaves a hard dark line along the walk, trimming in close to fence posts and stone steps where a mower will never reach. There is fertilizing and weed control through the humid stretch of a Mohawk Valley July, aeration and overseeding once September cools the ground, and the long leaf work that comes down every October on the slope toward the river. The pride sits in the finish: stripes laid straight, clippings swept off the sidewalk, a yard that reads as cared for from halfway down the block. From first thaw to last leaf, the work runs through Schenectady and out to the neighboring towns.
