About Divine Will Home Improvement

A nor'easter tells on itself hours ahead: the wind swings around, the air over the South Shore bays turns heavy, and by midnight Salisbury is under it. Divine Will Home Improvement works in that weather — plowing driveways open, clearing walkways down to the concrete, spreading salt and sand so the first step off the stoop holds. On ground this flat the snow travels sideways and refills a cleared apron twice before dawn, which makes the job a patient one, done and then done again. The last hour of a storm is the one worth waiting for: a whole street of open drives, and the people asleep behind those doors will never know what time it happened. Salisbury, Uniondale, East Meadow and Levittown get the same night's work.
