Saint James sits on glacial sand above Stony Brook Harbor, and that ground drinks a rainstorm the way a sponge does — greedily, and then it wants more. Falzone landscaping and design works with it, mowing lawns that come on fast in the salt-damp June air and trimming the edges back to a clean line along walks and beds. On a still morning the harbor smell rides uphill with the tide, and a freshly cut yard smells like it too. The reward is plain and visible: parallel stripes running true across the grass, the beds swept out, the driveway blown clear. Spring and fall bring the larger cleanups, when a yard gets emptied down to bare ground and handed back.
