Maggio and Sons Land Development Company

About Maggio and Sons Land Development Company

Round Top sits right against the front wall of the Catskills, and a storm that only dusts the river towns can bury these hills entirely. Maggio and Sons Land Development Company plows and clears through it, opening driveways and lots, cutting the banks back, keeping entries passable while the upslope keeps feeding. Elevation changes the whole equation: what falls wet down toward Catskill arrives dry and deep up here, and it keeps arriving well after the radar looks finished. Working a long storm means going around twice, then a third time, instead of waiting on an ending that isn't coming. When it finally quits and the sun catches the ridge, the way down off the mountain is open.
