A Saturday morning in the Curry Road neighborhoods has a sound to it — a mower starting up one street over, somebody's sprinkler ticking, the day getting itself organized. Upstate Lawn and Ground Services is part of that soundtrack, cutting lawns, running the fence lines, edging walks and driveways, and clearing off the debris on the way out. The blocks here are generous and level, which makes a straight mowing line honest work and a crooked one obvious to everyone. Through the season the grounds get regular attention; at either end of it, the cleanups deal with the thatch, the leaves and the winter leftovers. By noon the whole street looks like a place people are glad to live on.
