Wayne County's drumlins run north and south through Rose like a set of long green waves, and in April the orchards on their flanks bloom above lawns just waking up. Rose Landscaping & Construction Corp opens the season there — the first mow, the rake-out of a winter's worth of twigs and matted leaves, the edge cut back where sod has crept over the walk. Through summer it is the weekly pass, trimming what a mower deck cannot get near, keeping growth honest around barns and back fences. The area served takes in Rose and the surrounding towns of Clyde, Savannah, Wolcott, North Rose and Huron. The first cut of the year on a drumlin slope, orchards white above it, is hard to beat.
