About Heelpath Lawn Maintenance LLC

On the old Erie the towpath took the mules and the heelpath was the far bank — the working side nobody ever wrote a song about. That is a fair name for lawn work, which is mostly the unglamorous bank of the job: the same corners, the same walks, every week without fail. Heelpath Lawn Maintenance LLC keeps Rome yards on that footing, out at first light in spring when the ground is still cool and the grass is coming on hard. The reward is small and it is real — a straight edge along the drive, clippings off the concrete, a lawn that looks like somebody was there. Rome broke the first ground on that canal, and the plain work of keeping a place up is cut from the same cloth.
