West of the river the streets open up — the 19th Ward's brick porches first, then the postwar blocks running out Chili Avenue toward Gates, where front lawns are wide and level. Rochester Lawn Care works that side of town: mowing, edging, string trimming and the spring and fall cleanups. A wide lawn is honest, because you can read every line from the sidewalk, so the lines get done properly.
