Park Avenue lawns are small enough to measure in strides, hemmed in by porches, driveways and hundred-year-old street trees. Murphy's Lawn & Landscaping cuts them anyway, and cuts them carefully — mowing, trimming, edging and clearing the debris a city yard collects. Tight ground rewards patience; the mower turns more than it runs, and every border is on display from the sidewalk. Finished, a narrow strip of grass can look like a green rug laid down on purpose. The Park Ave blocks, the Neighborhood of the Arts, Monroe Avenue and Brighton fill most days.
