In Polish Town the yards are small and the pride in them is not. Love it all enterprises mows, edges and trims those tight Pulaski Street lots and the wider ones out past them, keeping grass at a height it can hold through a Long Island August. Midsummer here means humidity you can lean on, sprinklers ticking at dusk, and a strip of shade to work from. Beds get weeded and mulched, shrubs get shaped, clippings leave with the truck instead of sitting on the curb. A block where every lawn was cut the same week looks like a block that is paying attention, and that is the result worth chasing.
