About Alumidock

Before the sky goes from black to blue over the Conewango valley, the truck is out on the Randolph back roads with the wipers losing the fight. Alumidock clears driveways, turnarounds and lots through the storm, widens the openings so the next few inches have somewhere to go, and treats the walks where ice forms overnight. Cattaraugus County winters run long and steady rather than dramatic — a few inches, then a few more, day after day — and the route is built around that patience. A drive opened wide to the road while the house is still dark is the quiet part of the job nobody sees. It is finished by the time the coffee is on.
