About Pumpkin Hill Farm Lawn Care

October in the eastern reaches of Queensbury smells like cut field and woodsmoke, and the light goes long and gold across ground that was hayed a generation ago and is lawn now. Pumpkin Hill Farm Lawn Care keeps that kind of place — the roomy country yard that runs out to a hedgerow, where the mowing is measured in acres of open sweep and then finished by hand along the stone and the fence posts. Big lawns are forgiving from a distance and merciless up close, so the trimmer does as much work as the mower does. Through summer it's the weekly cut, kept at a height that carries the grass through the dry spells. When the leaves come down off the maples the cleanup begins, and the whole field of it goes into winter swept clean.
