CountryTurf Experience

About CountryTurf Experience

Much of Queensbury sits on old glacial sand — pitch pine country, ground that drains a June rain almost before it lands. Grass on that soil has to be handled its own way, and CountryTurf Experience mows, trims and tends lawns with that in mind, cutting high enough that the turf can shade its own roots through a dry week. It is careful work rather than fast work: the height set for the season, the edges brought back tight, the clippings dealt with instead of left in windrows. By midsummer the difference between a lawn that was mown thoughtfully and one that was only mown is plain from the sidewalk. Then autumn arrives up here early, and the whole thing gets cleared down and put away clean.
