About Trimmed lawn Team

Four o'clock on a late-August afternoon out toward Braddock Avenue: heavy air, loud cicadas, and grass that has been growing all week whether anyone watched it or not. The Trimmed lawn Team runs Queens Village, Hollis and Bellerose the way a crew should — one on the mower, one on the trimmer, one on the blower, and the yard closed out in a single pass. Edges get cut against the walk and the driveway, hedges get squared, the clippings go out with the crew. Late summer is when a lawn either gets fed into September or gives up, so seeding and feeding follow in behind the mowing. Then it is on to the next house before the light goes.
