Preble's Tree Service

About Preble's Tree Service

Preble lies on the floor of a long glacial valley, hills shouldering in from both sides while the Tioughnioga gathers itself and starts south. Wind comes down that trough with a running start, and after it passes there is work waiting — limbs across the driveway, a maple split at the crotch, a hemlock leaning hard over the barn roof. Preble's Tree Service takes the removals, does the trimming and pruning that keeps a dooryard tree sound, and handles the storm cleanup that turns a wrecked morning back into an ordinary one. There is a particular satisfaction in the last load pulling out at dusk and the barn standing clear again. From the Little York lakes to the ridges under Song Mountain, the job is measured in shade kept and hazards brought down.
