About Vin's Lawn Care and Landscaping

Four in the morning on a Poughkeepsie hillside is a quiet you have to earn. Vin's Lawn Care and Landscaping is already out in it, headlights swinging up the pitch toward College Hill while the Mid-Hudson Bridge holds its string of lamps over black water below. Plow down, driveways opened, walks shoveled to the door, salt scattered where the shade keeps ice honest — all of it done so a neighbor steps outside at seven and simply drives away, never knowing what hour it took. When the ground softens again the same trucks come back for grass instead of snow: mowing, trimming, edging, cleanups that haul off what winter left behind. Dutchess County weather rarely announces itself politely, and the answer is to be up before it. That's the whole trade here, warm months and cold — arrive early, leave it right, say little about it.
