About Stinson Landscape Service

By the second week of November the hedgerows east of Poughkeepsie have gone bare and copper, and there is exactly one cut left in the year. Stinson Landscape Service takes the season all the way out to that day — mowing and edging from the first warm week of spring, trimming and hedge work through the heat, then leaves cleared, beds cut back, a final low pass before the ground hardens. Fall work is the least glamorous and the most useful; a lawn that goes into the cold clean comes out of it clean. There is a particular hush on a finished property in late autumn, everything squared away and put to bed. Then the trucks wait for April.
