About AA Landscaping and Construction

The Fall Kill runs its crooked line through the north end of Poughkeepsie, and the yards that lean toward it wake up muddy and hopeful every March. AA Landscaping and Construction works those blocks with a lawn-care route that begins when the last gray snow gives up under the hedges. Cleanups first — winter's grit raked out of the beds, the sticks the wind left behind — then the first cut, then the border along the walk drawn straight as a chalk line. By June the grass carries that even, brushed nap you only get from someone who mows the same lawn the same way week after week. It is plain work, and it makes a whole street look looked-after.
