Route 20 has run along the top of Pomfret since before anyone alive, and the town's whole year passes on it — mowers in April, harvest trucks in October, plows in the dark of January. North County Landscaping works both ends of that year. Warm months mean mowing, edging, trimming, and the cleanups that clear a yard front and back. Cold months mean driveways plowed, walks and steps shoveled, entrances broken open after the lake sends another band inland. Same yards, same road, two entirely different kinds of morning — and both of them end with a place that is ready to be used.
