About The StoneWell Landscape Co.

Stone walls run through the hedgerows all over Plattekill, laid by hand back when this was field after field, and they still mark where one piece of ground ends and the next begins. The StoneWell Landscape Co. works inside those old lines — mowing lawns and open ground, trimming along the walls and fence rows, edging the drives, clearing yards in spring and carting the leaves off in fall. Land with history in it deserves to be kept legible: grass down, borders visible, nothing grown over into the stone. There is a real pleasure in that reveal, when a summer's growth comes off and the shape of a place shows again. Ulster County has plenty of it worth looking after.
