Columbo Tree Care

About Columbo Tree Care

Plattekill is orchard ground — Modena, Clintondale, the long rows along the ridges west of the Hudson with the Shawangunks blue behind them. Columbo Tree Care works in among all of it: pruning shade trees at farmhouses and roadside yards, tree trimming to keep limbs off barn roofs and gravel drives, tree removal when a locust or a big black cherry has come to the end. July storms cross the ridge and unload on this side of it, and by morning storm damage cleanup is a tree leaning on a fence line and limbs scattered down the lane. Winter carries the heavy work, when the ground is firm and the crowns read clearly against the sky. Come bloom in May the whole town turns pale pink, and the trees that were tended stand straight up through it.
