About L&S Services

January nights in Phelps are long and the drumlin ridges north of town throw the snow into drifts that fill a driveway from one side. L&S Services runs through those hours, plow down, working from midnight toward morning so that the day can start normally for everybody else. Walks and steps get shoveled, and salt or sand goes where the ice sets up hardest. Nothing about the work is glamorous; it is cold, repetitive, and entirely dependent on being there when it matters. The reward is a car that backs out at seven without a shovel in the trunk.
