Petersburgh lies in a narrow valley along New York's eastern edge, where the Little Hoosic River runs north beneath the long wooded wall of the Taconic Range. Meadow Lawn Cemetery keeps a piece of this valley in grass, and tending that grass is the heart of its work: mowing, trimming and keeping order around the stones.
