Saturday morning off Ayrault Road smells like cut grass and somebody's coffee, and by ten the whole neighborhood is outside. Matty Mows is part of that soundtrack — mowing, string trimming, edging, hauling the clippings away — then coming back in January with a plow and a shovel for the drives and walks. Winter shrinks the day down to headlights and hot air blowing on your hands, but the idea holds: make the ground usable again. Kids sled the same yards that got mowed in July. A town is really a few hundred small properties, each one somebody's.
