Turk Hill is a drumlin, one of the long glacial ridges running north to south beneath this whole corner of Monroe County, and from up there Perinton spreads out green in every direction. Carbon Cutters LLC mows those slopes and the flats alike — clean lines up a grade, tight trimming around posts and beds, cleanups in spring and again when the leaves come down. Grass on a hill asks for a certain patience; it wants cutting across the fall of the land rather than down it. Late in the day the mowed stripes catch the low sun and a whole yard reads like brushed velvet. A small thing, and worth doing right.
