About Diego's Landscaping & Construction Corp.

The first southbound train leaves Peekskill while the platform lights are still the brightest thing on the riverbank. Reaching it in a storm means a lot, a side street and a driveway all opened before dawn, and that chain of small clearings is the work. Diego's Landscaping & Construction Corp. plows and shovels through Peekskill and the towns beside it — drives, lots, walkways and entrances, with salt and sand laid down on the icy runs. Snow off the Hudson comes heavy and wet, the kind that sits down hard and refuses to blow away. Moving it before the town wakes up is the quiet pride in the whole thing.
