About D&D Tree & Landscaping Inc

The hamlet takes its name from a small river, and on a February morning that water runs black between white banks while the Pascack Valley platform fills up for the city. D&D Tree & Landscaping Inc is out ahead of all of it — plowing driveways off Central Avenue, clearing lots and walks, cutting down the plow ridge at the apron so nobody has to shovel their way to work a second time. Storms come over the Palisades into Rockland wet and heavy, the kind that sets like mortar if you let it sit, and the answer is simply not to let it sit. Snow removal in Pearl River gets measured against one thing: whether the early train gets made. By breakfast the pavement is dark and the day is ordinary again, which is exactly what it was for.
