About Walter Landscaping & Tree Service

When the lights come on at Thunder Ridge along Route 22, Patterson knows the season has turned for real. Walter Landscaping & Tree Service turns with it, running plows and shovels through the cold months, then mowing, trimming and clearing yards once the slope goes green again and the maples fill back in. Tree work teaches a crew what wind does along a ridge — where a drift will build, which side of a house stays buried longest, how quickly an open lawn scours bare. A driveway cleared down to the gravel and a lawn cut to a straight edge turn out to be the same instinct at different temperatures. The town looks better for both, and they notice.
