About 121 groundskeeping

At Parma Corners the crossroads sit wide open to the sky, and by noon in midsummer the heat stands over the fields without a shadow to spare. 121 groundskeeping is out in it — cutting, trimming the corners loose, running a hard line where turf meets the driveway, keeping lawns even while July does its work. Grass here comes on strong in June, stalls in an August dry spell, then roars back with the first cool rain. Reading that rhythm is most of the craft; the rest is the discipline to keep the lines honest. A yard kept that way looks effortless, which is exactly the trick.
